Auckland Festival of Photography

I will be working at Auckland Festival of Photography from 30 May 2013 - 21 June 2013. Auckland Festival of Photography is a signature visual arts event that treasures a city abundant with great photographic talent.

This annual festival is New Zealand's largest photographic event and programmes a multitude of exhibitions and events, encouraging more people to celebrate the art of photography through free public access alongside professionally curated exhibitions. Taking place within Auckland's major galleries, project spaces, non-gallery venues and public sites each year.

La Biennale di Venezia

I will be working in the Australian Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia from 30 June 2013 - 3 August 2013. Established in 1895, the Venice Biennale is the oldest and most important event on the international contemporary visual arts calendar. Australia has been consistently represented in the Venice Biennale for more than three decades.

Venice Biennale provides a unique international platform for Australia to present and promote rising stars of the Australian visual arts sector to both national and international audiences approx. 200,000 visitors.

I have received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, to travel to Venice to complete my role as Team Leader Venue Attendant with Australia Council for the Arts in the Australian Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia.

Established in 2001, the Professional Development Program has supported more than 100 Australians participating at Venice, as emerging and established curators, team leaders and venue attendants.
